Shared-link privacy
Ashong counts visits from shared seller and product links to understand how people discover the marketplace. A link may identify its source, such as WhatsApp, Facebook, or a printed QR code.
Your browser stores a random visitor identifier and the most recent seller-link attribution. The backend stores only a hash of that visitor identifier, an allowlisted source, and the seller or product visited. Link attribution expires after 30 days. We do not use IP addresses, raw referrers, or device fingerprints for this measurement.
If you make an inquiry or create an account after visiting a seller link, Ashong may associate that action with the seller who introduced you. Sellers see aggregate counts, never visitor identities, buyer names, or inquiry contents in their link statistics. Visits from a seller or their signed-in team do not earn self-credit.
Browser storage is optional for browsing. You can clear site storage in your browser settings. When storage is unavailable, the marketplace still works. These statistics do not create payments, rewards, or referral entitlements.
